Addressing Struggles Before, During and After Addiction

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) from Real Recovery Clinical Services helps men and women to pursue daily, everyday activities while at the same time addressing destructive drug and alcohol abuse. We offer two gender-separate, specific IOP tracks, where men participate in a 3-hour morning session, followed by a women-only session in the early afternoon. Clients attend IOP sessions 3 times per week – typically on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – and are then free to return home to resume normal life.

What are Levels of Care?

Is Intensive Outpatient Programming Right for Me?

Intensive Outpatient Programming for substance use challenges helps young adults receive the treatment they need to thrive, without entirely removing them from an environment they’re comfortable with. For many individuals, inpatient care can prove a challenge in itself, since treatment typically requires full-time residency at the place where therapy and medication are administered.

While Intensive Outpatient Programming through Real Recovery Clinical Services does require a time commitment (9 hours per week), young adult clients are free to return home after daily treatment periods conclude. If you’re looking for help managing substance abuse issues without exercising a live-in option, IOP treatment might be right for you.

What Can I Expect From Intensive Outpatient Programming?

Real Recovery has created a theme rotation for clients that hits on not only the primary substance use diagnosis but engages clients in many other areas that they have often struggled with both before, during and after their addiction. Our experiential activities enhance the therapy experience for our clients. Experiential activities break the monotony of talk therapy when clients, especially young adults, become disengaged.

Each week, clients focus on the ACT Construct according to theme rotation.

  • Week 1: True Self (Self-As-Context ACT Construct)
  • Week 2: Intimacy & Relationship Dynamics (Connection ACT Construct)
  • Week 3: Mindfulness (Acceptance/Expansion ACT Construct)

  • Week 4: Capturing Recovery (Defusion ACT Construct)

  • Week 5: Life Skills (Committed Action ACT Construct)
  • Week 6: Perspective (Values ACT Construct)
